What should I wear?
We encourage you to dress for the weather, including a hat if it is a sunny day. Guests can dress in period costumes, too.
Don't forget your mosquito repellant and sun block!
Are refreshments available?
Complimentary lemonade, cookies, popcorn, and candy floss, will be available at the hospitality stations. Culligan water stations will also be located throughout the grounds.
What does it cost to attend?
There is no cost to attend the Lieutenant Governor’s Garden Party.
Should I bring a lawn chair?
There will be limited seating near the stage during the Garden Party, so we encourage you to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
Where should I park?
Parking is available in the Government House public lot and on surrounding streets.
Will Government House be open?
Government House will be open for tours, to use the washroom facilities, to shop at the House Gallery by Yvette Moore, to purchase a treat from the Butler's Pantry, or to have a relaxing break from the sun.
Is Government House wheelchair accessible?
Government House and the Edwardian Gardens are wheelchair accessible.
Will there be entertainment?
The Garden Party will feature Regina Riot - Kevin Kasha’s Dixieland Band, Saskatchewan Express, the Queen City Caring Clowns, the Wa Wa Klowns, Suzannah of the Mounties, RCMP Horses, and so much more.
Will there be activities for children?
Children’s activities include Bubble Blowing, Fun with a Parachute, Balloon Animals, Face Painting, and Kanga Cricket (click to learn more).
Will there be a program?
At 2:00 p.m., there will be a program on the main stage. The program will include greetings by the Lieutenant Governor, and a performance by Saskatchewan Express.
What happens if it rains?
The Garden Party will be moved inside Government House if there is rain.
The children’s games and RCMP horses will not be featured inside Government House.
