Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal
Saskatchewan has one of the highest rates of voluntarism in Canada.
By helping others, each volunteer makes daily life in our
province better for everyone. Formal recognition of volunteers
helps express the gratitude of the community, and also presents
role models to the people of the province.
In 1995, on the occasion of Saskatchewan’s 90th anniversary,
the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal was established to help recognize
the province’s volunteers.
To nominate someone for the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal, please
contact the Office of Protocol and Honours to obtain a nomination
form, or visit the Protocol web site (linked below) for on-line
