2026 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Outstanding Service to Rural Saskatchewan

The "2026 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Outstanding Service to Rural Saskatchewan" recipient is Douglas Panter of Big River.

On March 10th, 2026, Lieutenant Governor Bernadette McIntyre attended the Luncheon and Opening Ceremony of the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities' Annual Convention and Trade Show. The 2026 SARM Convention and Trade Show was held on March 10th to 12th in the International Trade Centre of the REAL District in Regina.

Her Honour brought greetings from King Charles III and presented the "2026 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Outstanding Service to Rural Saskatchewan" to Douglas Panter of Big River. Congratulations Mr. Panter and thank you for your four decades of services to the Rural Municipality of Big River.

After the luncheon, the Lieutenant Governor also took time to browse the trade show and meet with some of the exhibitors.

Prior to the Convention, Their Honours hosted a dinner on March 9th, in the Government House Dining Room to celebrate award recipient Douglas Panter.
