Lieutenant Governor attends Installation of Her Excellency

Lieutenant Governor Bernadette McIntyre and Governor General Louise Arbour at Installation Reception on June 8th, 2026 in Ottawa.

Their Honours Bernadette and Rich McIntyre had the privilege and pleasure of witnessing the Installation ceremony of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Louise Arbour, 31st Governor General of Canada on June 8th, 2026, in Ottawa. Their Honours extended their best wishes to Her Excellency as she began her term in office.

In addition to be in the chamber for the swearing in of the new governor general, Their Honours also attended a celebratory reception and enjoyed a private dinner with their fellow viceregal representatives. While in Ottawa, the Lieutenant Governors and Territorial Commissioners from across Canada held business meetings as well on topics related to their work.
